At NKN, we believe that it’s important to do business responsibly, and to give something back wherever possible.

Energy usage
We actively work to reduce our energy consumption at live event productions and audio-visual installations by switching our hire stock to energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures and switch-mode PA amplifiers. We also do our best to advise our clients on the energy saving benefits of using these technologies for permanent installations.

Recycling
We recycle all incoming packaging materials, often re-using or repurposing them for our own needs. We also separate and recycle plastics, metals, landfill and food waste.

Community
Our London warehouse location in Watford is in the heart of a diverse commercial estate. We help foster positive community spirits and social cohesion in the area by trading with other local businesses wherever possible, and communicate with our neighbours on traffic, crime and other issues. NKN and its staff are also active in attending and hosting regular community gatherings.

Youth
We actively encourage young people with an interest in audio-visual production to join our NKN Academy training programs in lighting and sound. Our aim is to enable trainees to develop essential skills and experiences, and we try to promote an ethos of learning something new every day

If you are keen to develop your skills, you can join our in-house Training Academy in Sound and Lighting, which will enable you to learn from professionals with many years of experience.

As a trainee you’ll have the opportunity to develop new skills and hone those you already have. At NKN we believe that you should learn something new every day, and if you’re as passionate as we are, you’ll have the chance to thrive.

We can also arrange manufacturer training in sound and lighting consoles, specialist training in media servers, and reciprocal training agreements with external companies.
